Amazing team of people to work with. I learned how insurance agencies operate as well as risk management and claims support within the agency as with companies. I was able to shadow agents, claims support, and customer service reps as well as speak with company representatives like underwriters and adjusters.
What I wish was different
More time to spend with each representative.
Advice
Take a notebook with you every day to take notes, and go home and study the information you learned from the day, as well as simply researching the industry as a whole. This is how the internship becomes truly beneficial to you and you retain the knowledge you learned.
