I enjoyed the projects that I got to work on and the freedom I had to contact other full-time employees to ask questions and gain experience/knowledge.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been able to do more with the other student interns. Because we were not in the same department, I didn't have the opportunity to collaborate with them on projects and other daily tasks.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions! I was a little afraid at first of approaching my boss, but I quickly realized that everyone in the department was willing to explain concepts and new skills to me to help me learn as much as possible.
