I liked being able to work on a team with Latinx, and understand the integration of Latinx culture with Facebook and broadcasting.
I really appreciated having a team that was willing to share their experiences with me and go to lunch.
I, also, like that most people have their doors open, so you have the chance to go and talk to anyone if you want to.
What I wish was different
The internship program does not have a structure, so a large chunk of time is spend just sitting doing nothing. I wish there was a way to work with different people in the departments to learn more with set meetings and times.
Advice
Figure out how to keep yourself busy whether that mean networking or learning something new on AVID, then dedicate your time to that, because you'll find yourself with a lot of free time.

Intern
June - August 2018 • Glendale, CA
What I liked
I liked the people that I met and the way I was able to built a network with these people. I loved that I was able to work with other people that are thought were cool.
What I wish was different
I wish there was actually a plan in place for intern. I spent a lot of time sitting and doing nothing. Also, that was the first time that they had hired people under the age of 21, so job offers only came for people that were out of school.
Advice
Take this internship after having done others, DO NOT MAKE THIS YOUR 1st INTERNSHIP. It is difficult when you don't know what you want and there's no structure. So you're left to your own devices without a clue about what you want.
