I liked the freedom to tackle projects I wanted to do, the support of my coworkers, and the ability to exercise creative in some of the activities I was involved with.
What I wish was different
I wish I had had a more established list of projects to choose from throughout the summer. I largely made up a list on my own based on what my supervisor told me and what I knew the organizations goals were. But sometimes I would start one of these and be unsure if it was something I should bother doing/was something that would be prioritized.
Advice
Go into an internship with an open mind, flexibility, and goals for what you want to accomplish/what you want to get out of it. Use those goals to guide you during your time there and try to make the most of your experience.
