I liked the hands on work I got to build the robots doing fab such as plasma cutting. I also got the do design for parts that actually became part of the new design including custom stainless steel tanks and aluminum mounting plates. The others engineers there were super helpful and encouraging.
What I wish was different
I wish covid had not happened because it made it a much more difficult to work.
Advice
Jump in and use the experience of the older engineers and get working ask questions and just get your hands dirty.
