What I liked
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this internship since it was completely remote but now that it’s over, I am blown away by how well it went. One of the core values of BTI360 is to grow each day, and that was so easy to see even as interns. The full-time employees poured into us, whether it be through teaching the coding workshops or randomly jumping into our Discord to see if any of us needed help. Each intern is also given two mentors, which serve as really good resources for asking questions or just to have fun with. After two weeks of coding workshops, the rest of the internship is dedicated to working on an intern project. Even with the workshops, it still was not easy and I was definitely pushed to learn a lot. But more than that, the intern proejct helped show me how software developing is a team sport, something BTI360 really stresses. Working to solve problems together with all the other interns, even virtually, was a ton of fun and really educational.
- The people were great, I always felt welcome and the company really seeks to immerse you in their culture to help you grow as a software engineer
- The intern project was really educational, helped me learn a lot of new technology and it definitely was a challenging experience
- There’s a good mix of work and play (even virtually) :)
