I loved the feeling of making a difference in students' lives. The fact that I I could motivate and inspire them to overcome their challenges is the best feeling in the world.
What I wish was different
I wish the program was slightly more organized but I understand that this was the first year at the University of Arizona.
Advice
The position is not just about helping students in their academics. It's about developing relations and trust with your mentees. In order to do so, you need to get to know them personally and connect with them.
