Advice
Take notes every shift! For this internship I worked with older children and young teens, and there were a lot of them, but I made sure to write down everyone's name and notes about them immediately after every shift, as well as my thoughts and reactions to things that came up that day. It really helped me connect with the children, even those who I had only met once before, and I could tell how much it meant to them (as well as my supervisor) that I remembered their names. On top of this, once it was over, I was able to look back and read what was going on in my head at the beginning, after hard days, etc etc.
