Advice
Internships definitely give you a real time view of what your industry is like before you fully commit to the career. Definitely recommend doing an internship or something like it

Assistant Superintendent

What I liked
I loved working outdoors and being able to walk houses as well as see the production of homes, schedules, relationships and learn a lot about residential construction all at the same time.
What I wish was different
I wish I would've pushed harder to learn even more while I was there and talked to more people and built more relationships with them just to expand my personal growth and future success in the industry.
Advice
Go full out. Dont take it as something you have to do, but something that you want to do and learn and grow your knowledge from. The best take away from my summer job was how much you can learn by just being on a construction site. It will grow your knowledge more than any class will.
