My boss and the fact that I was able to experience responsibility and somewhat of a managerial role. I was taking care of and instructing my staff what to do if things were needed and being available to patrons and my subordinates if I was needed.
What I wish was different
I wish I could've had a more consistent schedule; each week my hours were different.
Advice
If you want to be a lifeguard, take it seriously and do not assume it is an "easy job." It requires a lot of responsibility and attention and communication skills.
