I loved the culture of the company and the different projects I was given. It was really cool to work in the restaurant business and see what happens behind the scenes. I got to go to a food photoshoot and visit the marketing agency that works with Brinkers etc.
What I wish was different
I wish I didn’t have as much downtime
Advice
I think everyone should get an internship that they are interested in and ask a lot of questions. In meetings participate and find someone in the organization who can be your mentor and just ask them so many questions.

Being a host can be quite easy so long as you are patient with other people and know what you are doing. Don't be afraid to help out other ways too, especially when things pick up in the front of the house.

What I liked
I was able to walk out with money in my hand after every shift. It was fast money.
What I wish was different
There was a lot of work that had to be done. They do not hire table bussers or food runners, so everything had to be done by us. It could get very hectic at times.
