I was able to feel pride in my school. There is a lot of things that student's don't usually see, and being part of that "behind the scenes" work was an eye-opening experience on how maintenance workers and janitors do their jobs.
What I wish was different
I have no complaints about the work itself. The atmosphere was great, and the people I worked with all worked collaboratively as a team to finish or job on schedule.
Advice
Please treat schools and common spaces where there are janitors/maintenance people with respect. What they do is really important and can easily be overlooked.
