What I liked

I loved that I was entirely immersed in Deaf culture! At home and at work, I was constantly signing, learning about Deaf culture and meeting people with similar interests.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had more interpreting experience. Though I was immersed in the "DEAF-WORLD", I did not get as much interpreting practice as I had hoped.

Advice

Take every advantage to improve your skills! There will be opportunities, whether it be a night out with the staff or helping someone with a signing project they are working on, so take them! It will all add to your repertoire, contributing to your overall success.
