All of the people are so lovely. It is a young staff full of energy and passion. As someone who wasn’t sure about entering the fashion industry, these people gave me a whole new perspective.
What I wish was different
As intern, I ran a lot of errands. I did not mind it most days, but some times I would be sent on errands that were pointless because no one bothered to check if the store or office was open, or if what we needed was ready for pick up. This is obviously frustrating and exhausting.
Advice
WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES. I cannot stress this enough. A lot of errands. Your feet will suffer if you do not dress accordingly.

What I liked
The people at Brandon Maxwell are absolutely amazing. It is easy to be intimidated because it is such a successful brand, but the people treat you like you are one of them.
What I wish was different
The office is small, and it can get overcrowded, unorganized, and chaotic. I think once the company can afford it, they should move to a larger, more open office space.
Advice
As an intern, you will be running errands. Dress comfortably and be ok with learning the city and subway systems. By the end of your internship you will know the city very well! Make friends with the people at work because it will make it all the more enjoyable.
