Advice

To be successful at research you need to be very self motivated and driven since it operates on a flexible schedule that you decide. The benefit is that you only need to be in lab as long as you need to be to get your work done. At the same time it requires a lot of good time management skills because you will need to plan a lot in advance on what you want to get done in the short term and in the long term.
