I loved working at the farmer's markets and being able to speak Spanish with members of the community.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been a few more opportunities to speak Spanish. In hindsight, however, I feel like this is something the student should have initiative with.
Advice
I would recommend that students are clear with their intentions before beginning an internship. While I roughly knew what I wanted to get out of it, I think I could have done a little bit more! Maybe go into it with some kind of unique ideas for how to get involved further.
