What I liked

I really liked how the internship was flexible to my time. I wasn't stuck to any specific schedule which allowed me to do much more for the internship.

What I wish was different

I wish the internship was in person because I feel like I would have learned a lot from being in the specific setting.

Advice

One piece of advice I'd like to share is to make the most out of your short time in internships because you will be learning a lot.

What I liked

I was able to try a lot of different things at this internship, from leading student interviews, leading essay workshops, helping with data management, co-facilitating parent information sessions, and team support. I felt part of the team and was included in all team and org meetings. The time i worked with was amazing and passionate.

What I wish was different

I wish this would have been in person, although they transitioned my internship to virtual environment smoothly, I missed a lot of team bonding and collaboration that would have happened in person. Additionally, because we were not in person I think I missed an opportunity to get to know the org better as a whole, and talk to other departments.
