About Boston Public Market Association

The Boston Public Market is a permanent, year-round, self-sustaining market featuring fresh locally sourced food brought directly to and from the diverse people that make up Massachusetts and New England. At the BPM, local farmers, fishers, and specialty food producers come together with the residents of Boston and Massachusetts to create a new civic institution, a vibrant marketplace that will let people from all walks of life taste, buy, and understand their food, from how it is made and sourced, to its nutritional value, to its impact on our environment, and of course, how to prepare it to make delicious meals that bring their friends and families together. It is the only locally sourced market of its kind in the United States.

Student Intern

October 2019 - December 2019 Boston, MA
“I liked working independently but also liked that the employees were available to answer any of my questions. I loved the diverse tasks like taking pictures of vendor merchandise. I had a room/office to myself which offered me privacy to work on tasks undisturbed. There was another student who shared the space with me but we got along so well. We assisted each other with individual tasks but also had different tasks given to us. ”

Business Development Intern

“I really enjoyed being able to work for an organization that cares so much about fostering community and a love for food in once space. The location of the Boston Public Market is amazing and I learned so much about what it takes to run a small non-profit. Also, my colleagues were another part of my job that I loved. Everyone was smart and passionate about local food and making local food more accessible to everyone in Boston. ”
