Advice

At any internship make sure you ask a lot of questions! Also, don’t be afraid to ask to tour other departments or talk to people in other areas. This was something I did that really added to my experience.

Process Engineering COOP

May 2019 • Florence, KY

What I liked

The freedom that the engineering team gave to the coops that they were allowed students to feel like they were trusted and expected to perform. This allowed for a much less stressful than normal workday and also lead to more work getting done.

What I wish was different

Overtime is not allowed for coops and this was a little difficult for a situation when my workload was heavy and I needed to put more hours in. This may be more of a personal experience, but if you are able to put overtime in, its double pay.

Advice

Make sure you take responsibility for what you can and are expected to do. The more initiative you take and work you put into the company, the better time you will have.

What I wish was different
