I liked that this opportunity was unlike what I expected an "internship" to be. I was valued as a full-time employee, and all of my ideas were validated and taken into consideration when making decisions for the company. I also liked that this is a start-up, and I was able to help them expand their marketing from almost nothing. I really got on the job training and was able to put things that I was learning to use.
What I wish was different
Overall, nothing! I loved this experience.

What I liked
The company culture at Bluestem is unlike any other! Aside from having great coworkers and a fun environment, interns are given real responsibilities and projects that enable them to contribute in a highly valuable way while learning a tremendous amount. I found this to be vital to my professional development and enabled me to discover new skill sets and really hone in on what I want to do in my career.

Advice
If you are considering applying for an internship with this company, or any internship in general I highly recommend it. It has been a great opportunity to grow personally and professionally. My advice- be a self- starter, ready to take on any project and you will not be disappointed with your experience!
