What I liked

I liked the opportunity to learn a new skill and the challenge of coordinating between customers’ needs, servers’ priorities, Abbas the kitchen.

What I wish was different

I wish the job description had been clearer since I really didn’t know what I was getting into. There was so much more to learn besides just taking guests to their tables.


A strong base of confidence in dealing with people is necessary for this job. There will be lots of unhappy people (that’s just how the service industry is), so don’t let that affect you too much.
