I was given great opportunities to expand upon what I didn't know and the freedom to guide what I wanted to lean. My mentors had a great deal of trust in me, they let me run entire accounts and freely meet with whoever I wanted to get to know. Very open door policy company.
What I wish was different
More supply chain focused instead of service side of business.
Advice
Meet with as many VP's and Directors as possible. They are all extremely nice and want to get to know the interns or other staff. They offer a wealth of knowledge not only about BISSELL but surrounding industries.

What I liked
I enjoyed the amount of freedom I had within my work.

Prototype Lab Intern
May - August 2019 • Grand Rapids, MI
What I liked
Working in the Prototype Lab was a great experience. There was a lot of learning to do from the other model makers, and the projects I was assigned were manageable and interesting to complete, varying from day long, week long, and month long projects.
What I wish was different
Nothing, the experience was great for my resume and the people I interacted with were great as well. I also learned a lot while I was there from my coworkers.
Advice
If you like the culture of a company, Bissell has that, special summer hours, company outings, and an overall feel that they do value you as an employee, even though I was just an intern.
