The Birmingham Airport Authority was established in June 1986 as an independent Authority of the City of Birmingham. Responsible for the operation, administration, growth and development of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, the Authority is led by an seven-member Board and overseen by President/CEO, Al Denson.
