I enjoyed the relationships that I built between departments on the company campus within the labs I used throughout the summer to finish my project. I also enjoyed the time I spent with my boss at the beginning of my internship to narrow down the subject for my project and to develop a protocol that I would use to generate results that the company would later use as a topic for a research paper.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had a longer internship than the 11 weeks that I spent this summer since I was limited in the analysis of my project. The shorter time-frame came from starting at the beginning of June rather than the middle of May like many similar companies.
Advice
Never be afraid to apply to a position that you don't meet all the requirements for, you never know what the company is looking for in a future employee that you might already have on your resume that they will be interested in learning more.
