I really liked my project and the experience of having ownership over an application. I also liked having autonomy in making design decisions but still having weekly check-ins with my manager.
What I wish was different
The internship was fully remote but I wish there had been some in-person opportunities.
Advice
Don't be scared to reach out and ask questions even if everything is remote. People are extremely nice and respond as soon as they can!

Data Analyst Intern
May - August 2023 • Lawrenceville, NJ
What I liked
My time at Billtrust was great. The people were extremely friendly and willing to help the interns. All of the interns were remote. I was initially hesitant about this but the process of working from home was very smooth.
What I wish was different
Billtrust schedules a lot of meetings for interns to make sure they are not encountering any problems. While this is good sometimes I just wanted to focus on my work.
Advice
I would not discount an internship or job because it is fully remote. There are many different technologies and software that make it easy to work from home. I feel that I learned just as much if not more than if I was in the office full-time.
