User Interface/User Experience Designer Intern

What I liked

Beyond Design has four different categories, so in addition to User Experience Design work, I also worked with the research and strategy team, industrial design team and engineering team. This was a nice exposure to the design world, outside of digital UX/UI work.

What I wish was different

Beyond just opened their UX/UI department, and as a result I was only able to work on one UX/UI project. Most of my summer was working on things I wasn't the most passionate about.

Advice

Keep an open mind! Even though your experience might not have been as you thought it would be, you never know when the skills you learned will come back in the future!
