I loved being able to connect with the people around me. I didn't know anyone going into this experience and by the time I left Bethel UMC I had gained so many new friends that will last a very long time. The leadership skills that I learned and had to develop will definitely be useful in the future.
What I wish was different
I honestly wouldn't change anything about this past summer. It was an amazing experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.
Advice
I would just offer that anyone who's looking to gain more experience in any field just needs to take a leap of faith and you will grow in one way or another. Changes in our life bring growth and maturity.
