About Bethel School District

The Bethel School District is a dynamic, award-winning district that covers over 200 square miles in southeast Pierce County in Washington State.

SIZE & GROWTH: We currently serve nearly 21,000 students and are a growing district -- 16th largest in the state. Not only did 900 students enter our schools over the last couple years; we anticipate 3,000 more over the next several years.

OPPORTUNITY: We've hired over 300 teachers for the last few school years!

SUPPORT: We offer support to 1st & 2nd year educators through our induction/mentorship program and have a robust on-going professional development program for all.

TECHNOLOGY: One-to-One iPads in place for all of our K-12 students and staff.

Bethel has 18 elementary schools (K-5), six middle schools (6-8), three comprehensive senior high schools (9-12), an alternative high school (9-12), a K-12 virtual academy, and a K-8 school of choice/arts. Additionally, Bethel hosts several programs including an elementary acceleration academy and the Pierce County Skills Center.
