I really enjoy working on the farm in the summer as well as working with students.
What I wish was different
I wish that this position was a permanent position within the school district.
Advice
I would say that children need someone to unpack their "backpack" in terms of what might be happening at home. Being at school can sometimes be an experience that helps leave any home stress behind. Many of our students have experienced trauma and it is so important to help unpack those backpacks when they walk through our doors.
