I loved that I was in a work environment where everyone cared about what I was learning. I was also encouraged and had the opportunity to learn from other departments within BET like the design department.
What I wish was different
I wish there would have been pre-planned projects for me before starting.

Programming Intern
June - August 2019 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I loved being hands-on and being able to work with a team learning the day to day functions of the programming team while still have the freedom to work independently.
I also loved the networking session the Campus to Career program hosted for us to get to know each other as interns.
I appreciated how much time people where willing to take out of their day to host informational in other departments I was interested in.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the opportunity to attend network events. Most of the time I could not because of my commute to work but it was still a great experience.
Advice
One piece of advice is to make the experience your OWN. No one will advocate for yourself but you because you know what your ultimate end goal is.
