I learned a lot about being in a professional setting and meeting with different companies and clients. I enjoyed being able to learn how to write exciting pitch pieces that would grab the attention of different writers and reporters.

Connect with as many people as possible. Speak with the company heads as they really want to get to know you and make your experience worthwhile.

What I liked
Working with several clients and focusing on shaping public opinion effectively. Additionally enjoyed working with clients that focused on bringing justice to people of color and the underrepresented
What I wish was different
I had to translate a lot for some clients who worked in immigration reform. I was the only Latinx employee; and as an intern, I thought that was irresponsible.
Advice
Just because it’s a high scale company, don’t expect to be doing high scale work! You’re mostly there to learn and help

Take initiative! Reach out to people that you want to speak with or work with on their projects. Manage your time wisely!
