What I liked
I love the environment, and that I have had the opportunity to learn so much in such a short amount of time. I feel like an essential member of a team, which has been great since I work in a department, where most have been in the industry 15+ years.
What I wish was different
I wish that technologically the credit union was more up to date, but I believe that is something I can help the credit union do since I am a capable and now graduate of BYU-Idaho.
Advice
I was not qualified for the position when I applied, but my boss saw potential in me and decided to take a chance. My advice would be to "go for it" when applying and interviewing for internships and jobs, even if you think you're not qualified. Be yourself, be confident, and be willing to learn and soak up new information. I think my soft skills got me the job, since my boss understood he could teach me the hard skills. Don't limit yourself when applying.
