The people at Beef Northwest are amazing to work with!! I had the opportunity to shadow current employees and learn about the business and industry. They are happy to answer any questions and couldn't be more patient! They also allow you to work fairly independently in order to better understand projects and processes. Nothing like REAL life experience!
What I wish was different
This is a true administrative internship! Nothing wrong with that, but a fair warning to anyone interested in "on-the-ground" feedyard experience: check into their operations interships!
Advice
Take this opportunity seriously and take advantage of all the knowledge of the people around you! I've learned more about the industry in 3 months than I have in the classroom.
