Sourcing Intern

May 2019 • Warwick, RI

What I liked

I really like the atmosphere, a lot of people are very helpful in explaining procedure and wanting you to succeed.

What I wish was different

N/A - I love my time with this company and department in particular.

Advice

Don't take anything too personally, someone could have a bad day and not want to work with an intern, and that's fine. Just because you had one bad day at the office does not mean it needs to ruin your perception of the company or the internship as a whole.

Software Engineering Intern

June 2019 • Ashland, OR

What I liked

The best components of my internship included getting to work alongside other engineers in an agile environment on a real product. Getting the experience of what it's like to jump into a large code base and learn a collection of new languages/tools was incredibly valuable.

What I wish was different

I honestly wouldn't change anything about my internship experience.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask questions and talk with other engineers/employees, asking questions and showing interest in the work helps build connections and show that you're committed. On the other-hand, part of being a software engineer is problem solving so practice trying to figure out things for yourself before going to superiors.
