Planning and Design Intern

What I liked

I throughly enjoyed the culture and just the people. Everyone was willing to help me and made it an easy transition into the Beazer family.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have gotten more opportunities to explore different sectors of Beazer like finance, or purchasing. However now that I do continue to work at Beazer, I have ample opportunities to explore the different departments.

Advice

Come in ready to learn and just have an open mindset to try and explore new aspects of the company you may not be interning with. Beazer definitely does a great service to their interns which alludes to the impact the experience has on all their interns.

Purcashing Intern

What I liked

I enjoyed the atmosphere and coworkers I worked with on a daily basis. I built my excel skills, learned how to use JDEdwards, and observed the process of start to finish on the construction of homes.

What I wish was different

There was a structured schedule, but it was delayed when design specs fell behind.

Advice

I enjoyed it and highly recommend for students to keep their options open when applying for internships. I’m an accounting major and didn’t see myself doing a Purchasing Internship over the summer, but I’m glad I did and had a good time.
