I am so grateful that I was also able to be present for the 100th anniversary of the Texas Collection this summer. I couldn’t have asked for a better internship experience with the kindest staff working alongside me! I gained valuable experience working in an archival environment as I work towards my goal of becoming a museum professional. I worked largely on a collections assessment project to identify collection priorities as well as their strengths and weaknesses with the goal of improving researcher accessibility. I also worked to inventory and process a few additions.

Take every opportunity to work on a new exciting project that they give you! More projects will diversify your experience for future internships and job positions!
