“Barracuda has done a great job at giving the interns an opportunity to learn about how businesses can protect their emails, networks, data, and applications. Every customer buys a different security solution, so I enjoy how every task cannot be approached the same way. You must get creative on how you want to get a customer to renew their subscription or buy a better product. Our main goal is to have every business transfer their data to the cloud. Our managers are heavily involved and do not pressure us to learn at an extreme pace. My manager has told me that he noticed I am a hard worker, and he challenged me to keep that energy going because people are taking notice. The projects they have given me have forced me to step out of my comfort zone into a sales role, but with every call that I make to a customer, I feel I am getting better. Anytime I have a question, my managers are willing to help and teach me how to do things in preparation of getting the offer! I loved my department because most of the people were under the age of 30, so there were plenty of people I can relate to, and ask questions.”
