I loved the opportunity to expand my knowledge within an area of the medical field that I was unfamiliar with. I learned so much about oncology, and the mental/emotional & physical care that cancer patients require.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more defined duties and responsibilities. I enjoyed the freedom to explore the unit, but I also wish there would have been more structure.
Advice
Getting out of your comfort zone just may bring you the greatest experience of a lifetime because you find a missing piece of yourself that you didn't even know you needed.
