I liked being able to apply some of the concepts learned in classes to a real world setting. I also learned a lot of skills that will be useful in finishing my classes.

Electronic Assembler
May 2019 • Huron, SD
What I liked
I enjoyed learning more about electronics and processes and knowing that the assembly I was making would for sure be used by someone who needs it. This motivated me to always do my best work and ensure high quality.
My favorite assemblies involved soldering.
I also really enjoyed the people I got the pleasure to work with.
What I wish was different
Not much. Sometimes the half-hour lunch breaks seemed too short, but the days went by faster with shorter breaks.
Advice
For anybody interested in working in manufacturing, it is definitely a place to start and learn what manufacturing truly is and if its the place for you. A lot of people don't actually realize what goes on in manufacturing until they step foot inside a plant and begin hands-on work.
