Spreading some knowledge about a generally unknown (outside of New Zealand) culture in such a way that the students who passed through the Nga Wai o Horotiu Marae have a first stepping stone to research further if they so desired.
What I wish was different
I wish the time frame would have been longer, for example for a whole semester to see a whole group of International students through their time abroad.
Advice
I was worried about my preceived level of knowledge going into the internship, however, what I did know was very helpful and I learned any specifics I needed to without any fuss or annoyance from my supervisor. It is okay to not be completely sure of yourself and your fit into a position. you are not expected to know everything from the beginning.
