I truly enjoyed making the residents happy and trying to do fun activities to enhance their qualities of life and keep them connected with their family members
What I wish was different
More unity across the different departments
Advice
To work with the elderly, you must have patience. Lots of it. It does get very challenging at times but I always reminded myself that I was doing something to help bring happiness to their lives

What I liked
There are 3 different shifts which allow you to work around your school schedule. I was given a lot of vacation time which everyone is able to do if you give the boss an early notice. In addition, part-time can earn paid time off and the residents are the sweetest people ever.
What I wish was different
Communication between coworkers and management is not the best.
Advice
Atria is the perfect place if you are a genuine and caring person because you can really make the lives of the residents better.

Everything about the job. My bosses and coworkers were great. I loved the residents. Great facility. 10/10 experience.

I worked 3-11 so the hours weren’t the best for a college kid in the summer but it wasn’t bad at all.
Advice
A lot of people don’t like the idea of working with elderly people but they really have the best stories, best advice, and are great people.
