The internship program is genius. I was able to live with a host family, be with a group of ten peers, and learn a lot spiritually as well as professionally.

What I liked

I loved every second of it! Alaska as a whole is breathtaking and the most beautiful place! To spend a summer there and broadcast 45 baseball games, which is what I want to do with my life, was a dream come true.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have stayed longer and had a little more free time to see the state. Because I basically broadcasted every day, we did not get many days off to sight see!

Advice

I would say to go in with an open mind, because you stay with an awesome host family and you grind out long days and its just the best experience. See as much of the state as you can and take in all of God's beautiful creation.

Baseball Coach Intern

What I liked

I loved the opportunity I had to connect both faith and sports together. I was able to gain experience in coaching, while also gaining experiencing in sharing my faith and mentoring athletes, helping to equip them to use the platform they have in their sport to share their faith and grow personally

What I wish was different

I wish I did not have to support raise for it.

Advice

Understand we are all broken people and that no matter how much you look up to someone, they will disappoint you. Also, be prepared for the difficulty of saying goodbye to people you will grow deeply close to.
