What I liked

Since working with Assuaged in the past 6 months, I have learned not just more about Public Health and practices but also what standards I should expect from others in the public health and medical field. A typical day with Assuaged involves logging on to the group networking apps and planning alongside others from all over the world. Within the first few weeks I was already working alongside peers to plan health education newsletters and live discussions that made me feel like I was really making an impact. This company and the skills learned here will be with me for years to come and I feel really lucky to be part of a program that looks at each person and recognizes their strengths. There is a whole new respect for social media and healthcare with it's ability to educate and engage with others. The owner of the company has direct contact and works alongside the team so you can feel the passion being put into the project. Overall if I had to speak about Assuaged to a potential employee or partner I would say that it's an opportunity that is unmatched elsewhere. The growth and dedication put into the employees, partnerships, and group success is exceptional.

What I wish was different

That I was on the pacific coast so I could be more present for meetings and in person networking events!

Advice

Jump in with both feet and let your passions be known. The owner and management team really support the interns and students to work on projects that reflect their interest and show their talents and growth.
