About ASML

About ASML As the world’s leading semiconductor lithography machine (the machine that makes computer chips) manufacturer, ASML enables chip manufacturers to make cheaper, faster, chips, thereby enabling all the technology you use today. The machines we make require high speed, magnetically levitated stages with sub-nanometer accuracy, robotic mask delivery systems, mechatronic devices to shape and correct the laser illumination source, and optical modules that can detect sub-nanometer alignment errors and pattern distortions. Temperature controlled to milli-kelvins, particulate free, and operating in complete vacuum, the technical challenges are endless. Solving these requires expertise in servo controls, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, embedded software engineering, optics, physics, manufacturing, industrialization, and more. If you like extreme challenges and want to help bring the next generation of technology to the world, then come join ASML. ASML headquarters are in the Netherlands, but has a global presence with US design and manufacturing offices in Wilton, CT (precision stages, robotics, optical modules), San Diego, CA (EUV laser source creation), and Santa Clara, CA (computational SW for pattern recognition and correction). Optical Test System Engineering Intern

June 2019 - December 2019 Rancho Bernardo, CA
“Innovative product supported by many different groups, all working together. Amazing lab facilities and really cool lasers! The internship program as a whole was very enlightening from both a technical and personal perspective. The program engaged each one of it's interns in regular group learning sessions where a speaker would present about interview skills, LinkedIn profile management, etc. Felt like a strong community. ”

Mechanical Engineering Intern

May 2019 - August 2019 San Diego, CA
“I would encourage everyone interested in ASML to apply! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience as an intern at ASML. I had the opportunity to use my mechanical engineering education at the forefront of the semiconductor industry, which I previously had little exposure to. ASML is a great company and the internship was genuinely a lot of fun. I made lifelong friends among the other interns, and got the opportunity to do real project work on vacuum chambers in the laboratory/clean room. A few months after my internship concluded, my team from the summer reached out to let me know of a full time position to apply to. I was hired, and began work right after graduation. I am now a full time manufacturing engineer at ASML San Diego. ASML is a great place to work if you are a fast learner and enjoy working in team settings! The company is also a leader in the industry, so if you're someone who wants to use their skills to push the boundaries and work on something nobody has done before, you should consider ASML.”
