What I liked

I got to work from home and I met a lot of new connections along the way! There were a number of other interns who were extremely nice and helpful. I also had such great managers and the training was awesome!

What I wish was different

I wish, although working from home was convenient, I had the opportunity to meet the people I had been working with.

Advice

I would say to reach out of your comfort zone. I wasn't sure that this internship would be a great fit for me, but I took the chance anyway and ended up loving it. This winter, I am returning to the company and working for them again.

What I liked

Working at Ascensus has been a great opportunity to become better educated on 529 college savings plans while assisting clients with contributions and withdrawals, troubleshooting login issues, and facilitating various other miscellaneous transactions and matters.

What I wish was different

This is not necessarily negative by any means, but my experience has been fully remote due to COVID-19.

Advice

Be aware that downtime is very minimal and always ask questions when something feels unclear!

Advice

Speaking on the phone all day in a customer service position isn't for everyone, but will give you a greater appreciation for customer service workers you interact with in your day-to-day life.
