The mission of both Art of the Lakes Association and Henning Landmark Center is to develop and promote interest in the visual arts, to sponsor art exhibits, to stimulate art appreciation among children and to encourage emerging artists of all ages. Volunteers serve as the Board of Directors, officers and committee chairs. Artists work in the Art of the Lakes gallery throughout the year. The Henning Landmark Center is also a facility for meetings and retreats with a new workshop space for ceramics, woodworking, and metalwork.
Our organizations are located in the lake region of west-central Minnesota. Our communities easily triple in size during the summer months due to the number of lake residences, resorts, and visitors. Glendalough State Park is a short bike ride from the center of Battle Lake. We are home to many unique shops, excellent eateries, beautiful parks and friendly resorts.
