In exchange for tuition, room, and board, I worked in a gallery/supply store at the school of arts and craft. I loved it because I spent two months working and creating art with other artists from all over the country. I learned new skills that are not taught in at Rollins and brought them back with me.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have stayed longer, and I had the opportunity to, but I needed to go home and work at my other job so that I could pay my bills and loans.
Advice
Work study positions at craft schools are a good way to escape the stress of life by living in a community of different people who do different things. You learn a new craft or hobby and you make connections with people from all over the country.
