I really enjoyed the hands-on experience that my internship offered. I was able to work in the plant lab and out in the field and see how a chemical plant runs in person which was very helpful. I also enjoyed being given meaningful tasks that had a lasting effect on the plant.
What I wish was different
I wish I wasn't the only intern, other than that I really enjoyed my internship.
Advice
Go out of your comfort zone. I decided to move 7 hours away from home and live alone in a new place to gain experience and I'm very glad I did!
