I liked the hands on experience on public archaeology, state government, cultural compliance, and tribal relations.
What I wish was different
Politics and bureaucracy got in the way of projects very often. I wish it was more about preserving culture and archaeology than revenue for the state parks.
Advice
It was memorable and a key experience to helping me to decide my future career path. Though it had its ups and downs, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I met some amazing people and had a great time!
