I loved teaching children about animals and the environment. It was a very fun experience to see all of them get so excited about all of our activities that we did. My coworkers were also great, it was a very good working environment.
What I wish was different
Advice
One piece of advice I would share would to be to make sure you are always hydrated. It is very hot as you spend a majority of your time outside, and to make sure you have good walking shoes.

I loved having the opportunity to get hands on experience in the field of conservation by participating in husbandry, research, field work, and outreach.
What I wish was different
I wish the internship could have lasted longer as I enjoyed it very much!
Advice
One piece of advice I would share about this experience is to keep a journal of everything you do and learn as you go along as this will come in handy. Also, be confident in yourself and your abilities!
